Arris SB6183 question.

Hi I have an SB6183 modem. Lately I noticed that my internet speed went down. So I checked my modem and I noticed that the third light was solid green that used to be solid blue. I talked to the tech support guy at cox and he said there was nothing wrong on their end. So he did a reset on the modem. When the lights came back up I still see the third light being green instead of blue. The tech support guy told me that the modem is just using a single channel right now. That's the part that I don't understand. Is there more of a problem with my modem? I just bought this modem last March to replace my old motorola modem.
