Surfboard 5101 question

Hey guys, I'm new here, but I've had cable internet through a small local company for a long time; I even still have the original SB5101 I got years ago when I first signed up. I've never had trouble before, but recently I've been having my connection drop quite often. I don't have cable tv, so I have an uninterrupted run of about 50 ' from the ground block on the back of my house to my modem. I replaced the ground block and cable into the house with new quad shielded RG6 about a week ago, and it seemed to help a little, but I still get frequent drops. My downstream s/n ratio runs about 42 DB, and .8 dbmV. Upstream runs about 47-48 dbmV. Sometimes when I lose internet connection, I can power cycle the modem and it will come back up. Other times, I've learned that I can go to the ground block at the back of the house, and disconnect the feed line and reconnect it, and the modem will reconnect. Any ideas what might be causing my problem?
