I have been watching my new SB6141 log files since I installed it last Saturday. I was a bit surprised that the log contents have changed. This morning an entry that was on Jan 15th disappeared and was replaced with another entry today Feb 19th.
I thought the log would just add on and perhaps truncate older entries.
I had written a kludgy script to pull the data and send it to my outside web server and noticed the next day that the Feb 15th log entry was gone and a Feb 19th log entry replaced it. I thought perhaps the script had messed up.
In the two attachments, the first was after I was finished making changes and the second is this morning.
So the entry for the 15th, just disappeared. I realize the modem might not have lots of space for the log, but there are some old entries (dated 1970) still there which were most likely done when the modem was tested before being shipped to the distributor.
