Hi all, I would like to know what software version do you currently have on your Arris SB8200. I'm having issues getting speed higher than 600mbps on gigabit plan. This is what installed on my SB8200. I'm in SF bayarea. Software Version D31CM-PEREGRINE-1.0.0.2-GA-01-NOSH

SB8200 Upstream power levels

Hi all, I've recently been having issues with random latency spikes/jitter and occasional packet loss. I'm wondering if my modem signal levels have something to do with this, specifically my upstream levels. Arris' site shows the acceptable range is 45-51 dBmV but mine are a bit lower, see below. Upstream Bonded Channels Channel Channel ID Lock Status US Channel Type Frequency Width Power 1 1 Locked SC-QAM Upstream 17300000 Hz 6400000 Hz 40.0 dBmV 2 2 Locked SC-QAM Upstream 23700000 Hz 6400000 Hz 40.0 dBmV 3 3 Locked SC-QAM Upstream 30100000 Hz 6400000 Hz 40.0 dBmV 4 4 Locked SC-QAM Upstream 36500000 Hz 6400000 Hz 40.0 dBmV 5 5 Locked SC-QAM Upstream 41200000 Hz 1600000 Hz 41.0 dBmV Could this be the cause of the issues I've been experiencing? Any help is appreciated :)

SB6190 Puma6 TCP/UDP Network Latency Issue Discussion

I wanted to create a new topic under the ARRIS Forum.. Ok going between the MSO's was getting a little painful saying the same thing.. uid://1552966 reported an ICMP latency issue, ARRIS\Intel has a engineering build that seems to have corrected that issue now lets move onto the UDP/TCP issue.. I am working on recreating what uid://1552966 reported and working with him to get the data together.. I will post when I have have things to say or respond to questions.. Please keep this discussion on topic SB6190 UDP/TCP Network Latency Issue ---- mod edit ---- * Detection tool - http://www.dslreports.com/tools/puma6 * Search dslr hardware section for PUMA 6 chipset: https://www.dslreports.com/testsearch?ndx=Recent&fy=1999&order=score&q=puma6&ty=2016&typ=hardware * uid://1900355 has a more complete list of devices with the Puma 6 SOC Here are just a few devices with PUMA 6 chipsets which tend to be associated with gigabit cable modems. T25 and puma chipset issues

Does anyone know if the current version of the firmware mitigates the CVE related to DOS attacks? I read before buying that it did but hearing some info that casts doubt that the Puma 7 chipset may still be vulnerable. Mine currently has version TS11.01.142_061719_701.PC20.03. Any newer versions out there?

3450 / 3452 / 8200s Rebooting When CPE Plugged In

Just wondering if anybody else has seen this issue. e.g. One customer location has two 3452s, both on the same firmware, one has both phone lines in use, the other just one, both on the same profile. The one with the two phone lines in use is rebooting whenever a CPE is plugged in. Doesn't appear to matter what plugs into it, whether it's the router or a laptop for testing. We have another location where we've tried both a 3450 and 8200, each will reboot when any CPE is plugged in. At a loss as what could be causing this. It appears to be very random.

Arris VIP TV box "management" software?

Hi all... I have an Arris VIP2262 & 3 VIP2502W TV box from a defunct company that used to service an area that I lived at for a few months. The company strangely enough did NOT want the equipment back, as I had "purchased" the equipment at the time. Well, 10 months down the road, and I still have them, and i'm pretty bored out of my mind here at home. Does ANYONE know if these are essentially paperweights? Or is there a possibility to spring new life into these? I know they had netflix, plex, pluto tv, amazon prime, youtube & several other apps on top of their somewhat limited providing. The previous owner of the company would not share any details of how they worked and simply suggested I "toss them out" Should I "toss them out" or is there a way to spring these to life? I'd like to turn these little things into something cool if possible, especially if I can get netflix and prime working. Thank you

SB8200 Ping issue and slow upstream speed

Hi, I've had rock solid connection/speeds for years now. That changed as of this morning, when I noticed large ping spikes and general slowness. Running a speed test showed me that I was only getting about 3/4 Mbps upload as opposed to my normal 15-17 Mbps. Tried rebooting the modem, router, etc. and didn't really change anything. Connected a laptop directly to the modem and ran a speed test and that gave me almost similar results. I noticed that my upstream Power is pretty high, so I suspect that's the cause.
